Reintroduce Moment Diagram and Detailed Formulas in Flexural Check Report in STAAD Foundation Advanced V2024
We request the reintroduction of the moment diagram and the detailed formulas used during the flexural check in the report generated by STAAD Foundation Advanced V2024 (SFA V2024), as shown in previous versions of the software (SFA Version V9).
This information is essential for both technical review and design documentation, as it allows users to visually verify the stress distribution and understand the design criteria applied in the section calculations.
Specific Requests
Include the bending moment diagram directly in the flexural check report.
Display the formulas used in the “Detailed” section, with all variables and numerical values, based on standards such as ACI 318 (e.g., effective depth calculation, reinforcement ratio, modular ratio, etc.).

Thank you for the proposed changes in the flexural design report. The mechanism employed in providing flexural reinforcements in the new generation SFA is different from the older generation. In this generation, it is solved from the first principles with the reinforcements provided. We can definitely introduce the picture of the critical strip for each of bottom x and y, and top x and y. However, it would be needed to be discussed about the other details in the report. I will keep this in the "Needs Review" category, till we discuss this. Once the discussion is done, we will come back with an update on this issue and set the status accordingly.
